By Kenton-on-sea is 'n sokkerwedstryd tussen twee plaaslike spanne skielik
Johannesburg - There has been mounting criticism of multimillion rand
rewards for the three main architects of South Africa's successful
Soccer World Cup bid, SABC reported.
The Safa executive decided at the weekend that president Molefi
Oliphant, Irvin Khoza, the bid committee chairperson, and Danny Jordaan,
the bid committee CEO, would each receive R7.4m after tax.
Richard Maguire, the MD of one of South Africa's leading soccer
magazines, said the amount is ridiculous.
Maguire says the amount could be in line with international standards
for rewards for business successes.
However, he says people such as Oliphant do not qualify for R7.4m -
especially from an organisation that has admitted to having a deficit.
He questioned the importance of Oliphant's role, saying: "I understand
why people like Jordaan who has been working on the bid for seven years,
and why Khoza would get it, but not in Oliphant's case."
SAFA said the rewards came out of sponsorships and a government grant
paid towards funding the Bid for the 2010 tournament.
Haar beste tyd van 11.30 s is 0.09 s vinniger as Geraldine Pillay s'n,
wat die span gehaal het.

Wat is joune? Daar is natuurlik nie iets so iets soos reg of verkeerd nie.
Ander mense is
eerstens byvoorbeeld Moslems voor enigiets anders.

Waarom met ape-masker my misken
as ek die digkuns heilig tot bedryf
en Nyl en papperasse met die pen
vir gode onpartydig wil beskryf;
wegvlug?
"Want jy, met iedereen se lot
té vereenselwig om ooit kant te kies,
poseer soms as 'n duiwel, soms 'n god,

Virus purporting bin Laden suicide hits Web
Virus designed to lure readers into opening a file
Saturday, July 24, 2004 Posted: 5:31 AM EDT (0931 GMT)
SEATTLE, Washington (Reuters) -- A virus purporting to show images of Osama
Bin Laden's suicide has popped up on the Internet, designed to entice
recipients to open a file that unleashes malicious software code, security
experts said.
The virus was attached to a message that was posted on over 30,000 usenet
newsgroups and is not being spread via e-mail, said Web security vendor
Sophos on Friday.
The U.S. government has been hunting for Bin Laden since 2001, holding him
responsible for masterminding the attacks on the World Trade Center and
Pentagon on September 11, 2001, but he has not yet been found.
Chris Kraft, senior security analyst at Sophos, said the message and virus
was designed to lure unsuspecting readers into opening a file, similar to
the Anna Kournikova virus that enticed readers to open a file that unleashed
malicious software code.
"If you don't know the person or the origin of a message, you shouldn't be
opening it," Kraft said.
The fake Bin Laden suicide file, when opened, unleashes a program called a
Trojan horse that makes it possible for attackers to take over infected
personal computers running Microsoft Corp.'s Windows operating system.
Kraft said the virus itself had already appeared on the Internet before, but
the virus writer had apparently repackaged it by saying it contained Bin
Laden's suicide photos.
