Die hele Bybel spreek openlik en lynreg teen enige vorm
van rasse-vermenging en/of integrasie. Israel was altyd
streng voorgeskryf om NIE te vermeng nie. Hieroor is
die Bybel konsekwent. Selfs Christus praat teen ver-
menging in die boek van Openbaring.
Ons liberale teoloë en Babiloniese Eenheidsleer-verkondigers
misbruik graag "Moses se Kusitiese vrou" om vermenging en
verbastering goed te keur, solank dit "in die Naam van Jesus
geskied".
Die skrywer sal vervolgens bo alle twyfel aandui dat Moses
met hierdie Kusitiese vrou (Adoniah) slegs weens politiese
redes getrou het ['n politiese troue], en dat Moses haar nooit
aangeraak het, of enige kinders by haar gekry het nie.
Eerstens : Let op na Mirjam en Aäron se reaksie en optrede
omdat Moses 'n 'Kusitiese vrou' gehad het. - Hulle het teen
Moses gespreek. Die vraag is : Waarom sou hulle dan teen
Moses spreek indien dit moontlik aanvaarbaar sou wees vir
'n Israeliet om met een van die kinders van Gam ('n ander
ras of etniese groep) te trou ? - Mirjam en Aäron was slegs
oningelig oor Moses se Kusitiese vrou, en het nie onmiddelik
besef dat dit slegs 'n politiese troue was nie.

DIE BOEK VAN JASHER [Jasher = "Upright"]
Die boek van Jasher is 'n belangrike en onmisbare geskrif wat
betroubare feite en geskiedenis vanaf Adam tot Joshua bevat.
Dit is een van die boeke wat verkeerdelik uit Die Bybel uitge-
laat is, omdat dit akkuraat oorenstem met die ooreenkomstige
Bybelboeke van sy tyd. In Die Bybel word daar dan ook ver-
wys na die boek van Jasher.
Die boek van Jasher moet ook gesien word as deel van Die
Bybel, en word met reg aangehaal in Young's Analytical
Concordance. In die Afrikaanse vertaling [1933/53] word
die boek van Jasher genoem "die boek van die Opregte" :

Moses marries an Ethiopian (Cushite) princess, named Adoniah.
(3) According to later midrashic accounts, when Moses was a
young man, one King Kikianus ruled over Ethiopia (Cush).
War broke out between Ethiopia and the East, and Kikianus led
his army into battle. He left an official named Balaam in charge of
the capital city. But in the king's absence, Balaam won the people
over to his side and usurped the throne. To prevent Kikianus's
return, Balaam and his sons blockaded the city by building high
walls and thick ramparts and digging canals. They also intro-
duced swarms of venomous snakes that made it perilous to
approach the city. Kikianus besieged the city but failed to
breach the walls. For nine years, Kikianus camped
outside his capital.
When Moses fled Pharaoh, he happened upon Kikianus's camp,
was invited to join his troops and eventually rose to the position
of commander in chief : Moses, the legend goes, "exercised an
attraction upon all that saw him, for he was slender like a palm-
tree, his countenance shone as the morning sun and his strength
was equal to a lion's."
Eventually, Kikianus died, still in exile. The army "could find
none except Moses fit to be their king." They crowned the
Hebrew and offered him Kikianus's widow, Adoniah, as his
bride. So, at age 27 Moses became king of Ethiopia. After
recapturing the city from Balaam, he reigned for 40 years.
But in his 40th year of rule, the midrash recounts, Adoniah
publicly addressed her people : "What is this thing that you,
the people of Ethiopia, have done these many days ?
Surely you know that during the forty years this man has
reigned over you, he has not approached me, nor has he
worshiped the gods of Ethiopia. Now, therefore, let this
man reign over you no more, for he is not of our flesh.
Behold, Monarchos my son [by Kikianus] is grown up,
let him reign over you. It is better for you to serve the
son of your lord than a stranger, a slave of the king of
Egypt."
Moses was dismissed. Fearing to return to Pharaoh,
he fled to Midian, where he would, of course, meet
Zipporah.

In the fifty-fifth year of the reign of Pharaoh king of
Egypt, that is in the hundred and fifty-seventh year
of the Israelites going down into Egypt, reigned
Moses in Cush.
Moses was twenty-seven years old when he began to
reign over Cush, and forty years did he reign. And the
Lord granted Moses favor and grace in the eyes of all
the children of Cush, and the children of Cush loved
him exceedingly, so Moses was favored by the Lord
and by men.
And in the seventh day of his reign, all the children of
Cush assembled and came before Moses and bowed
down to him to the ground. And all the children spoke
together in the presence of the king, saying ; Give us
counsel that we may see what is to be done to this city.
For it is now nine years that we have been besieging
round about the city, and have not seen our children
and our wives.
So the king answered them, saying : If you will hearken
to my voice in all that I shall command you, then will the
Lord give the city into our hands and we shall subdue it.
For if we fight with them as in the former battle which
we had with them before the death of Kikianus, many
of us will fall down wounded as before.

matter ; if you will hearken to my voice, then will the
city be delivered into our hands. So all the forces

They are the sorcerers and magicians who are
mentioned in the book of the Law, standing
against Moses when the Lord brought the
plagues upon Egypt.
So Moses took the city by his wisdom, and the
children of Cush placed him on the throne instead
of Kikianus king of Cush.
And they placed the royal crown upon his head,
and they gave him for a wife Adoniah the Cushite

Race and intelligence is a controversial area of anthropology and
intelligence research studying the nature, origins, and practical
consequences of racial and ethnic group differences in intelligence
test scores and other measures of cognitive ability.[1]
Much of the evidence currently cited is based on IQ testing in the
United States. While the distributions of IQ scores among different
racial-ethnic groups overlap considerably, groups differ in where their
members cluster along the IQ scale.[2] Similar clustering occurs with

Many hypotheses have been proposed to explain racial-ethnic group
differences in IQ. Certain environmental factors, such as childhood
nutrition, are thought to modulate IQ in children[5], and other
influences have been hypothesized, including education level, richness
of the early home environment, and other social, cultural, or economic
factors. The primary focus of the scientific debate is whether group IQ
differences also reflect a genetic component. Hereditarianism
hypothesizes that a genetic contribution to intelligence could include
genes linked to neuron structure or function, brain size or metabolism,
or other physiological differences which could vary with biogeographic
ancestry.
The findings of this field are often thought to conflict with
fundamental social philosophies, and have thus engendered a large
controversy. Media portrayal of the role of genetic and environmental
factors in explaining individual and group differences in IQ was shown
in a 1988 study to be misleading regarding mainstream expert opinion.
Some critics examine the fairness and validity of cognitive testing and
racial categorization, as well as the reliability of the studies and
the motives of the authors, on both sides. Some critics fear the misuse
of the research, question its utility, feel that comparing the
intelligence of racial groups is itself unethical, whether justified or

Suid-Afrika in sy huidige demokratiese formaat is gebou op 'n
historiese ooreenkoms wat in die begin van die 1990's tussen omtrent al
die politieke groepe in die land aangegaan is.
Die ANC en die destydse NP-regering was die hoofvennote in die ge
skiedkundige ooreenkoms om ons samelewing voortaan nie meer op 'n
rasgrondslag te organiseer wat negatief diskrimineer nie en ook om nie
die weg van burgeroorlog in te slaan nie.
Dit was 'n ooreenkoms wat aan alle kante goed deurdink en uitgepraat
is. Dit is nie ligtelik aangegaan nie. Die kwaliteit van die ooreenkoms
en die diepe erns van alle partye wat vennote daarin was, het die
buitewêreld in so 'n mate geïmponeer dat hulle dit as die
"Suid-Afrikaanse wonderwerk" bestempel het.
Dit was egter nie 'n wonderwerk soos in stories nie. Daar was nie 'n
besoek van buite wat op geheimsinnige wyse ons probleme hier kom oplos
het nie. Die ooreenkoms was bloot nugtere besluite deur mense met goeie
verstande en 'n bereidwilligheid om tot die beste vergelyk moontlik vir
almal te kom.
Daardie ooreenkoms is 'n politieke heiligheid en is vandag die kern van
omtrent ons hele samelewing. Dit is die fondament van versoening en
samewerking tussen verskillende etniese groepe en dit vorm ons visie
vir die toekoms.
Pres. Thabo Mbeki het met reg die afgelope jaar al ten opsigte van
grondverdeling na die ooreenkoms verwys. Deel van die ooreenkoms wat
meer as tien jaar gelede in Kempton Park aangegaan is, was dat die
onregverdige verdeling van grond op rasgrondslag reggestel sou word.
Só 'n verdeling, is besluit, moet aan die hand van die reg en kenbare
reëls gedoen word. Dit word tans só gedoen, maar sommige wit
grondeienaars is halsstarrig en onwillig om die ooreenkoms in gees na
te kom, het Mbeki gesê.
Hy was reg toe hy gesê het die ooreenkoms waarop ons samelewing en
Grondwet gebou is, moet eenvoudig nagekom word.
Daardie ooreenkoms kan afgelei word uit die openbare onderhandelings
voor 1994 en uit die besluite wat tydens die onderhandelings geneem is,
soos vasgevang in die eerste weergawe van die Grondwet (wat basies die
Grondwet in sy huidige weergawe is).
Daar was egter ook die meer formele aanvaarding van grondwetlike
beginsels wat as oorspronklike grondslag vir die onderhandelings gedien
het. (Dit kan as 'n aanhangsel by die 1994-grondwet gekry word.)
Dit lyk nou ontstellend of die ANC besig is om daardie ooreenkoms te
ontrafel.
Hernieude praatjies oor 'n derde termyn vir Mbeki (wat hy self gerus
duidelik in die openbaar kan veroordeel) is 'n verbreking van die
ooreenkoms.
In Kempton Park is helder en duidelik besluit om presidente tot twee
termyne te beperk as 'n demokratiese teenbalans vir moontlike korrupsie
en swak bestuur wat só baie keer volg op lewenslange termyne in pas
onafhanklike state.
Dan is daar die klaarblyklike aanslag op regsprekende onafhank likheid
deur me. Brigitte Mabandla, minister van justisie, en haar adjunk, mnr.
Johnny de Lange.
Hulle wil wetgewing maak wat die regering administratiewe en
begrotingsbeheer oor die howe sal gee .
Die grondwetlike beginsels verklaar onder meer dat wetgewende (die
parlement), uitvoerende (die regering) en regsprekende (die howe) gesag
geskei sal wees in die demokratiese Suid-Afrika. Dit verklaar dat die
howe onafhanklik sal wees en dat hulle die gesag sal hê om die
Grondwet en die regte verskans in die Grondwet te beskerm en dat hulle
die beskerming sal kan afdwing.
Die Grondwet bepaal (art. 165) dat die howe onafhanklik is, slegs aan
die Grondwet onderworpe is en dat geen persoon of staatsorgaan op die
funksionering van die howe inbreuk mag maak nie.
Die minister wil onder meer die volgende subartikel byvoeg: "(7) The
Cabinet member responsible for the administration of justice exercises
authority over the administration and budget of all courts." Met ander
woorde die minister sal dié aspekte beheer.
As die wetgewing deurgaan en as Mbeki boonop nog sy derde termyn kry,
gaan die ooreenkoms van 1994 nog staan? As die ANC hom nie daarby hou
nie, hoekom moet die ander politieke groeperinge?
Die swakkes van gees, soos die armes, sal ons altyd met ons hê.
Gelukkig het die wêreld ook loodgieters en poskantoor-amptenare nodig,
anders sou daar dalk nie vir hulle plek gewees het nie.
Die probleem is egter dat naïewe, horingdom Afrikaners dikwels in die
nuwe orde tot posisies bevorder word wat, soos die Peter-prinsiep lui:
"bokant die vlak van hul eie bekwaamheid" val. Vele naïewe, horingdom
Afrikaners skryf natuurlik ook rubrieke in koerante van die Nasionale
Persgroep.
As daar een koerant is wat nog dommer en kruiperiger as die gemidelde
Naspers-koerant is, is dit Beeld. En as daar een rubriekskrywer is wat
nog dommer en kruiperiger as die gemiddelde is, is dit Ferdi Greyling.
Femelende Ferdi is die dorpsidioot van die Afrikaanse joernalistiek.
Dis 'n wonderwerk dat die man kan spel, maar miskien kan hy nie eens
spel nie en is dit wat ons in die koerant lees bloot die resultaat van
'n spanpoging tussen hom en die sub-redakteur.
In elk geval. Ferdi het al baie lowende uitbarstings oor ons "pragtige
grondwet" geskryf. Maar dit weerhou hom nie daarvan om nogmaals, so al
om die drie maande, nóg 'n lowende uitbarsting oor die grondwet te
prakseer nie.
En as die grondwet nog gekoppel kan word aan die woord "wonderwerk",
dan is ons nou volledig in die bulkende Baptistekerk van Ferdi waar die
lidmate handjies klap, swymelend in tale begin spreek, mekaar tranerig
om die hals val en gelukwens oor "die wonderwerk".
In Ferdi se kerk gaan dit egter nie om die verlossing wat Christus
gebring het nie, maar oor die verdrukking wat die ANK gebring het. 'n
Verdrukking waarvoor ons, broeders en susters, oneindig dankbaar moet
wees! Dit kon soveel erger gewees het. Die kranige guerillastryders en
verskriklike vryheidsvegters kon ons dalk almal uitgemoor het! Wees dus
dankbaar dat u nog lewe en soggens - dit boonop nog buite die tronk -
die voëltjies kan hoor sing en die sonnetjie kan sien skyn.
Juvenalis se opmerking in sy eerste satire, "waarom sal ek die
perkament ontsien as soveel digters dit opmors?" is insgelyks Ferdi
Greyling se lewensfilosofie. Diegene met 'n groen bewussyn sal vandag
huil as hulle daaraan dink dat bome afgekap moet word om aan mense soos
Ferdi die geleentheid te bied om goeie koerantpapier te bederf.
Ferdi se titel kondig reeds die inhoud aan: Los Kemptonpark se
wonderwerk uit. Hallelujah! Toe Roelf Meyer - waaroor die pankop
owerspeler FW de Klerk uitgeroep het, "My God, Roelf, nou het jy ons
moes uitverkoop!" - ons verraai en in die slymerige drein van 'n
ANK-toekoms afgespoel het, het die engele geneurie en oor Ferdi se
kerktoring gevlieg.
Daarom, soos Ferdi dit goedgelowig en naïef stel: "Daardie ooreenkoms
(Meyer se Kempton-gesteier - DR) is 'n politieke heiligheid en is
vandag die kern van omtrent ons hele samelewing. Dit is die fondament
van versoening en samewerking tussen verskillende etniese groepe en dit
vorm ons visie vir die toekoms."
Bid jou dit aan!
In die Roomse Kerk is daar 'n komitee van kardinale wat moet beslis of
wonderwerke plaasgevind het of nie en of sommige Katolieke gelowiges
werklik vir Moeder Maria iewers op 'n heuwel in Brasilië of Pole
aanskou het (sover ek weet verskyn die Maagd gewoonlik aan sterflikes
op 'n heuwel). In die Ferdi-kerk vir swaksinnige Afrikaners bestaan
sulke verfyndhede nie en is dit 'n wonderwerk as een of ander dronk
Boerehater-joernalis van die BBC dit in 'n oomblik van taalkundige
onbeholpenheid as sodanig bestempel.
It's a miracle, man. Oh yeah. Pass me another pint, please.
Dus teem Ferdi agterna: "Die kwaliteit van die ooreenkoms en die diepe
erns van alle partye wat vennote daarin was, het die buitewêreld in so
'n mate geïmponeer dat hulle dit as die 'Suid-Afrikaanse wonderwerk'
bestempel het."
Die "buitewêreld"! In die naeltjiekyk-heelal van die naïewe,
horingdom Afrikaner is die "buitewêreld" of "oorsee" al halfpad hemel
toe en moet ons dit met gewyde ontsag behandel. Ons trek ons skoene uit
as ons die vliegtuig by Jan Smuts-lughawe (binnekort O.R. Tambo
Airport) bestyg en kniel in aanbidding voor die "politieke heiligheid"
van Rinkhals Roelf se epifaniese oomblik van oorgawe aan Ramaphosa,
soos dit al soveel keer deur Chris Louw, Patti Waldmeir en ander in
boekvorm beskryf is.
Maar iewers is daar 'n slang in die gras, of liewer die paradys, want
Femelende Ferdi spreek aan die einde van sy eulogie aan die grondwet sy
kommer uit oor Brigitte (nie Bardot nie maar Mabandla) wat die howe se
finansies wil oorneem. Dan is daar nog Hoofman Thabo wat dalkies vir
hom 'n derde termyn sal "organiseer" deur die allerheilige grondwet met
behulp van die ANK se 72% meerdheid te verander.
Nou wonder Ferdi so op sy eentjie en deur die newels van sy
lekkergeloof dryf vae vraagskimme oor die waters. Nogal "bitter
gevaarlike vrae", soos hy dit noem.
Om jou hand in die klas op te steek en 'n vraag te vra, is vir die
Ferdi's van dié wêreld tereg 'n "bitter gevaarlike" stap. Dit
impliseer immers 'n vorm van kognisie wat iewers in hul verstand wat
hom gewoonlik met blinde aanbidding en ewe klakkelose konformisme besig
hou, mag plaasvind. 'n Soort gejeuk iewers onder hulle hare waar dit
gewoonlik nie behoort te jeuk nie.
Te veel "bitter gevaarlike vrae" en ons is binnekort by "kritiese
denke" - wat in die nuwe Suid-Afrika sinoniem is met "kranksinnige
regsheid en rassisme" - en van daar af is dit maar 'n hanetree na Van
Wyk Louw se "skipbreuk van alle sekerhede".
Blykbaar klap Jakes Gerwel namens Hoofman Thabo die sweep op die
Naspers-direksie as dit by die ideologiese inhoud van Beeld en ander
ANK-mondstukke kom. In 'n hermeties verseëlde wêreld waar slegs een
blye boodskap, dié van die revolusie en van "die wonderwerk" bestaan,
weet ons dat Femelende Ferdi binnekort sy transdans rondom die
aanvaarde "politieke heilighede" sal hervat.
En nogmaals sal Ferdi Hoofman Thabo en Sy Grondwet ten hemele prys.
Die lewe gaan sy kringloop op die swart
bank van die ewigheid, God druk die hart
versigtig daarop vas en slyp dit met
die donker, skerp klein helsteen van die smart.
