Cash-in-transit robbers nab R1.3m

Dumisane Lubisi

Hazyview - Five cash-in-transit robbers stole R1.3 million when they
forced a Coin Security van off the White River/Hazyview road in
Mpumalanga on Monday afternoon.

The robbers opened fire on the van while overtaking it in a bakkie at
about 2.30pm.

Lowveld police spokesperson Captain Harry Shabangu said on Tuesday
that two of the van's tyres were hit and the driver was forced to
stop.

The heavily armed robbers aimed R5 rifles at the two guards and
emptied the van of money containers, which were loaded onto the
bakkie.

The robbers sped off.

None of the guards were injured.

Shabangu said police were following all possible leads to trace the
suspects.

Meanwhile, Tonga police are searching for three men who shot dead a
shop assistant and robbed the owner of his bakkie and R3 000 on Monday
afternoon.

Shabangu said three armed men entered Good Lucky shop in Langeloop
tribal trust at about 5:30pm and held up Jacobus Petrus le Roux and
his assistant Daniel Fucane.

They demanded money and one of the robbers suddenly shot Fucane,
killing him instantly.

The robbers fled in Le Roux's bakkie, a white Nissan with registration
number CJN 957 MP, which is still missing. - African Eye News Service

ryker geword of 'n broer ?

Basson in haar opinie is. VIVA Joe Mafereka VIVA !

Hou 'n ogie oop vir Recap op die gebeure 2 "comming soon to a NG near you"

INVESTIGATE, DON'T COVER UP: MAIL & GUARDIAN (EDITOR: PHILIP VAN
NIEKERK), 20001117, P.24 (A) - One of the more disturbing habits the ANC
has inherited from its predecessor is the art of obscuring incidents of
impropriety and indiscretion behind official inquiries. The current
parliamentary investigation into former mineral and energy affairs
minister Penuell Maduna for his attack on former auditor general Henri
Kluever exemplifies this pattern. It is now more than four years since
Maduna said in the National Assembly that Kluever had been party to the
cover-up of the theft of R170m of oil. In January this year, after
spending R30m investigating, the public protector cleared Kluever and
passed the baton to Parliament, recommending it consider sanctioning the
minister. A special committee in the National Assembly was duly
assembled. But it has since lurched from postponement to red herring,
fumbling over what is a strikingly simple exercise. Preposterously,
Maduna remains unscathed, having been promoted to minister of justice.

Economische crisis???

Ma., 20 November 2000 00:00

Hallo, mensen uit Zuid-Afrika!

Ik ben Norbert, uit Vlaanderen. Sorry dat ik jullie taal niet spreek,
hoor.

Norbert
