ontdekt die ik erg leuk vind. Ik zou enkele van die liedjes willen kopen
als mp3, maar ik kan nergens een webwinkel vinden waar dat mogelijk is.
Om te beginnen gaat het om de liedjes "Boeremeisies Rule" en "Rowwe
diamant" van Rea le Roux en om "Perfekte Wêreld" van Shine 4.
Ook wil ik graag meer afrikaanstalige muziek horen.
Johannesburg - There is a "very real" risk that South African could
face an economic recession as a result of the current electricity
crisis, the SA Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Sacci) said on
Wednesday.
"We have already been going through an economic slowdown [the
electricity crisis] could push us into a recession," Sacci economist
Richard Downing said.
He said annual economic growth could slow down to as little as one or
two percent.
"It is apparent that the shortage of electricity does pose a severe
threat to the production capacity of goods and services, since
critical production time is lost due to electricity power shortages
during working hours.
Even if the loss in output could be limited to five percent to ten
percent of gross domestic product, it will be difficult to attain any
growth in the economy in 2008."
Downing said the effects of the electricity crisis had not been fully
captured in the current Business Confidence Index (BCI) for January
2008.
He said the effects would only be noticeable in the next three to four
months.
The BCI for January 2008 released by Sacci on Wednesday measured 93.8
--after it declined to 94.8 in December 2007.

Die Wonderfonteinspruit sál herstel word.
Die regering is besonder bekommerd oor die bevindinge van 'n onlangse
ondersoek deur die Nasionale Kernreguleerder (NKR) wat daarop dui dat
verskeie kossoorte in dié gebied met radioaktiewe gifstowwe besoedel
is.
Só het me. Lindiwe Hendricks, minister van waterwese en bosbou,
eergister in 'n verklaring gesê.
Luidens Hendricks se verklaring word net 950 mense in 'n strook van 1
km van die Wonderfonteinspruit geraak deur die besoedeling wat deur
goudmyne in die omgewing veroorsaak is.
Verskeie verslae het in die verlede daarop gewys dat die
Wonderfonteinspruit (wat strek van Randfontein af tot by die Gerhard
Minnebronveenland by die Mooirivier) met uraan, radio-aktiewe lood,
kadmium en verskeie ander swaar metale besoedel is. Almal is
newe-produkte van goudmynbedrywighede.
Mnr. Ben Nell van die Tlokwe-plaaslike owerheid het gister by 'n
vergadering in Potchefstroom waar gemeenskapsverteenwoordigers, die
departement van waterwese en bosbou en die myne teenwoordig was, gesê
die reguleerders is baie ernstig oor die herstel van die
Wonderfonteinspruit.
'n Tegniese taakspan wat bestaan uit die NKR en die ander
reguleerders, sal Vrydag hul eerste vergadering oor dié rehablitasie
hou.
Hendricks het gesê die plaaslike owerhede is sowat 'n jaar gelede
aangesê om skoon drinkwater na die mense in die
Wonderfonteinspruitgebied aan te lê. Mnr. Sas Coetzee van die plaas
Blaauwbank buite Welverdiend sê egter hulle moet steeds gebottelde
water koop.
Hendricks het in die verklaring ook verwys na die suurmynwater wat by

Die Kankervereniging van Suid-Afrika (Kansa) is besig met
baanbreker-navorsing waarmee hulle probeer vasstel wat die rol van
omgewingsbesoedeling in die ontstaan van kanker is.
Dr. Carl Albrecht, hoofnavorser van Kansa, het eergister op
Wêreldkankerdag gesê 'n span deskundiges het onlangs begin navorsing
doen oor die voorkoms van kanker in die besoedelde
Wonderfonteinspruitgebied waar intensief vir goud gemyn word.
Volgens Albrecht is Kansa veral bekommerd oor die hoë vlakke van
kadmium wat in dié omgewing voorkom.
Luidens verslae wat deur die Waternavorsingskommissie gepubliseer is,
lê daar in een van die plaasdamme naby Welverdiend in die

omgewing van die Wonderfonteinspruit - van Randfontein af tot by die
Gerhard Minnebron-veenland wes van Carletonville - aan kanker dood is.
Kansa gaan ook probeer vasstel aan hoeveel verskillende soorte kanker
die mense in die omgewing ly.
Nier- en beenkanker sal waarskynlik toegeskryf kan word aan die
radioaktiewe besoedelstowwe wat in die lug, grond en water hier
voorkom.
Volgens Albrecht is die omgewing se rol in die vorming van kanker tot
nou toe feitlik geïgnoreer.
Hy het verwys na navorsing wat in die vroeë 1980's deur sir. Richard
Doll en prof. Richard Peto, twee Britte, gedoen is waarin gesê is
omgewingsfaktore is vir net 2% van alle kankergevalle verantwoordelik.
Doll en Peto het gevind dieet en rook is elk vir 30% van kankergevalle
verantwoordelik.
"Dit het 'n soort dogma oor die wêreld heen geword dat
omgewingsfaktore 'n baie klein rol speel in die vorming van kanker.
Niemand het ook vrae gevra nie."
Dit het ná Doll, wat as die grootste epidemioloog en kankernavorser
van die 20ste eeu beskou is, se dood bekend geraak dat hy deur
chemiese nyweraars betaal is om nie navorsing te doen oor
omgewingsfaktore en kanker nie.
Kansa gaan nou ook kankerkaarte opstel vir die land en sogenaamde
"warm kolle" uitwys.
Die "warm kolle" sal gebiede aantoon waar die hoogste voorkoms van
kanker is.
"Daar bestaan nie so 'n kaart in Suid-Afrika nie. Daar is ook geen
vigskaart nie. Dit is noodsaaklik dat dié navorsing nóú gedoen word."
Albrecht het gesê hy meen die rol wat chemiese besoedeling by
kankervorming speel, is tot dusver erg onderskat.
"Kankernavorsing behoort ook in plekke soos Sasolburg, waar groot
chemiese nywerhede bedrywig is, gedoen te word," het Albrecht gesê.

Diocletian's "Problem-Reaction-Solution" in South Africa

Diocletian was a repressive Roman emperor who came
to power in 284 AD, who believed that order could only
be maintained if there were strict control on the personal
freedoms of the population. He further introduced extre-
me taxation despite the fact that he, by 301, had defea-
ted the Germans and the Sassanids and there were no
more reason for his tyrannical rule.
The Emperor needed a new enemy to regain the support
of his pseudo-slaves. He hated Christians, because the
Christians publicly condemned his ritual sacrifices. So
he gradually started persecuting them.
Diocletian's vice-emperor, Galerius, didn't have a hard
time in persuading him that if a Palace were just to burn
down, Diocletian could really accelerate his crusade a-
gainst the Christians. Just by coincidence, twice within
sixteen days toward the end of February, Diocletian's
palace in Nicomedia burned. The Christians were im-
mediately blamed.
And so genocide started. A monumental crackdown
occurred as Diocletian issued four edicts against the
Christians. Christian assemblies were forbidden. Bi-
bles were confiscated and burned, and churches we-
re destroyed. Christians were torn limb from limb in
the arena, the animals goaded on by a mindless po-
pulation who had accepted at face value the guilt of
the Christians.
Some people call this the "Problem-Reaction-Solution"
method. It works like this :
A government wants to achieve something, but they
know if they just go for it, they will run into trouble with
the population. So they first create a "Problem" which
is followed by a major outcry from the public that "So-
mething must be done" (the Reaction), which in turn
is followed by the "Sollution", provided by the govern-
ment.
This tactic has been used for hundreds of years. And
many conspiracy theorists have written about it. Even
today we see it. Let us look at an example. For instan-
ce :
If a government wants to control all the oil and opium
trade from the Middle East, they simply apply Diocle-
tian's method. Invading sovereign countries are illegal,
but if you can somehow blame those countries for hou-
sing terrorist organizations (that you created and sup-
ported) and blame them for terrorist acts in your own
country (without concrete proof), then the public will
support your tyranny. You provide the solution. Inva-
sion of sovereign countries follows and the sheep
supports you 100%.
Today we can look at unarming civilians for instance.
The government cannot disarm civilians en-masse.
Questions will be asked and people will hide their
weapons. But if some unforeseen, emotionally char-
ged deaths should occur, such as a school shooting
by a "Lone-nutter" ...or a kid shooting up a squatter
camp with Daddy's rifle, then there will be an outcry
from the public that "Something must be done".
Promptly you supply the solution ; a ban on all
weapons.
In South Africa there are and were many examples of
Diocletian's "Problem-Reaction -Solution" tactics. The
British wanted their hands on the mineral wealth of the
two Boer Republics, so they blamed the Boers for eve-
rything they could in order to justify a genocide against
this tiny nation of farmers.
Another example : Say for instance the biggest fear of
a Black Government is a White Right-wing backlash.
What do they need to do ? Plant a few bombs in Black
areas ; blame it on a Right-wing organization (that you
created) and you can keep the All Alleged Accused in
prison for four years without a trial (as with the Boere-
mag). Better still... the public will support you.
If you want to impose a Communist Government onto
the people, you need to destroy the capitalist economy,
but openly doing so is going to cause a massive outcry
from the public. So in order to destroy the economy,
you have to break the back of it, namely electricity.
Create an "Electricity Crisis" (problem), The public cries,
"Something must be done" (the Reaction), blame busi-
nesses for consuming too much electricity and tell them
to scale down (the solution). Down the drain Economy
goes.
Crime is another example. Crime has so many facets
that it should be in a section on its own, but let's exa-
mine some issues.
Firstly. You cannot imprison or hang people without a
trail. So you create a crime problem.
The public screams, "Something must be done!", and
you provide the solution ; imprisonment without trial ...
and the death penalty.
Secondly, if you want to get rid of your opposition (the
Whites), you cannot just drive them into the sea. There
will be an outcry and they might fight back. You cannot
justify a war against them, so what to do ? Blame the
Whites for the most terrible words in human history,
"Racism" and "Apartheid", and wage war on them
without a declaration of war.
With no declaration of war against them, the whites are
not allowed to fight back as soldiers. The killing of 3000
White farmers and thousands more Whites in their own
homes by blacks are now called, "Ordinary crime" by the
President. Vigilantism is against the law and the Whites
have to rely on the police to stop the "Crime", but the
Government employs the Police. So the killing conti-
nues with nobody lifting a finger to stop it. Whites re-
fuse to believe that a war is being waged against them.
More Whites have died in the years under ANC rule than
in British Concentration Camps. More Whites have died
since the ANC took over than in all the years they have
planted bombs as a terrorist organization, including the
soldiers on the Namibia / Angola border.
The first few years after the 1994 election, the ANC and
NP ruled together in a coalition. So the ANC has actually
only been in power for ten years. Ten years it took them
to redudce a prosperous First World country to the rub-
bish it is now. Compared to the almost 30 years it took
other African countries to go through the same, it looks
as if the ANC is going for a record.
Anybody can see that under ANC/Communist rule, the
crime will not get better. Electricity, roads and other in-
frastructure are only sliding backwards into the abyss.
Housing and jobs for the poor masses will never be
created. Only the totally naïve, ignorant and stupid
believes the promises and lies of the ANC.
We therefore need to look at the ANC very carefully and
see if we can predict future situations modeled on Diocle-
tian's Principle. What are the ANC's future "Problem-
Reaction-Solutions"?
To answer that question we should look at what the ulti-
mate aims of the ANC/Communists are. They want to rule
forever. They want to get rid of all and any opposition that
might ever prevent them from ruling forever.
There are roughly three million whites living in nice houses
in South Africa. There are at least 40 Million blacks that de-
mand houses from the Government on a daily basis.
Blacks live ten people in a house, no problem. Why should
the Government spend money on building houses for blacks
when there are millions of (white) houses standing already ?
There is only one problem... the whites live in these houses.
All they have to do is :
Create ...
A Problem - Urbanize Blacks en-masse to create a housing
shortage. (Done already)
There will be...
A Reaction - An outcry from Blacks that demand houses...
(Done already)
Offer....
A Solution - Blame the whites for something horrible (e.g.
the death of a beloved black leader) to trigger genocide a-
gainst them and either kill them all or drive them out of the
country.
All black problems will be solved when the last White is out
of Africa. Black Power, FOREVER !
In order for whites to survive, they will have to become aware
of the tactics and methods of the enemy. Is it not time that
whites start adopting these Diocletian methods themselves ?
How can Whites use Diocletian's "Problem-Reaction-Solution"
to their own advantage ?
What does blacks consider as "problems" and can we create
some for them to the point where there is an outcry "that so-
mething must be done" ? Can we then supply them with the
"Solution" in order to achieve our own goals?
Yes we certainly can, but in order to do so, we need to de-
fine what our goals are. What is it that we want to achieve ?
Many people are still divided on this issue. Some say we
should push for an independent homeland for ourselves in
the Cape, some say the entire South Africa is ours alrea-
dy. Some want the old Boer Republics reinstated. Some
wants to rule alongside blacks in a type of Federation.
Some whites simply want to leave.
It is clear to me that most whites in South Africa already
have a common goal, they just don't know it yet. All the
people above, from the Boer Republicans ...to the emi-
grants, have the same goal : Freedom from oppression !
The problem is that whites can never be free unless they
rule over themselves. Whites can never be free from op-
pression unless they live in their own country. Whites can
never be free unless they are free to speak and sing their
own languages in their own churches and schools.
Whites should be able to pay taxes to themselves and look
after their own in their own hospitals. Whites should be able
to employ and be employed by their own, free from Affirma-
tive Action and Black Economic Empowerment.
Whites should be able to build their own cities and towns
and name them after their own leaders. Whites should be
able to erect their own monuments for their own heroes
and not be forced to worship idols of terrorism.
How can we ever achieve all these things unless we have
our own country ? Every time I close my eyes I see one
thing in front of me and one thing only ; a beautiful coun-
try, a place where we can be ourselves and be truly free !
This should be our common goal. Our tactics will follow
our strategy and our strategy will determine our tactics.
The end will justify the means.
None are so hopelessly enslaved as those who falsely
believe they are free.

'n Mens werk tog binne die bevattingsvermoë en bestaande woordeskat. Vir so
'n ou kleintjie het die woord "maag" weier betekenis as bloot die orgaan

grootmense gebruik ook die woord "maag" ook om na die buik te verwys. Jy,
met jou opleiding in tale, behoort dit tog te weet! - die verskynsel word
"metonimia" genoem, nie waar nie? Ons sê ons het maagpyn, wanneer ons

"gelees" en gevra wat sy wil weet. Sy weet die babatjie het 'n besonderse
eie blyplekkie in die buik en dink baie beslis nie dat die babatjie tussen
die kos in die ma se maag lê nie. Ons het ons groter kinders ook so
grootgemaak en hulle het beslis ook nooit so 'n verwarring daaroor gehad
soos jy voorstel nie. Sy sal wel later en op die regte tyd die woord
"baarmoeder" leer ken.

In these dark and dismal days as share prices crumble, the economy totters,
power generation shudders to a halt, a criminal elite assumes control of our
polity, crime continues to extract its vicious toll, our roads fall apart
while traffic snarls up on every highway and byway, HIV-Aids continues
rampant, public health and education are in tatters and those fancy weapons
we bought rot away in their containers, to what urgent business do our
leaders turn their attention?
Why, of course, to the desperate need to do away with the National
Prosecuting Authority's Directorate of Special Operations, more romantically
known as the Scorpions and our version of the United States' FBI.
This is the crucial issue with which Jacob Zuma's new African National
Congress, as, incompetent and corrupt a political party as exists in a
democracy, is now, as the lawyers put it, seized.
This is a party which has mysteriously amassed some R1.75 billion in assets,
making it among the world's richest political entities in any democratic
society.
Of course, in dictatorships it is the norm to conflate party and state, an
aim which the Zuma camp appears assiduously to be pursuing.
This munificent treasure chest comes from undisclosed sources. Those public
accountants charged with auditing it may run up against some moral, as well
as accounting dilemmas. Its size was leaked at the Polokwane conference by
ANC delegates but, interestingly, not officially made available to the
media.
It was, thus, not difficult for it to return, which it has said it has done,
that notorious R11 million donation from one its "disciplined cadres", Sandi
Majali, who had, in turn, conned PetroSA into advancing the money to him as
part of a R15m payment for oil condensate which was, in fact, never
delivered.
Odd, is it not, that the party did not find it prudent in this FICA age to
determine the source of such a large amount?
In line with its glorious traditions it will, such as in the case of the
useless former CEO of Eskom, Thulani Gcabashe, a man with zero credentials
for the task but a "disciplined cadre", no doubt "deploy" its faithful
"cadre" Majali to some or other lucrative posting.
Something we can be sure of is that it is unlikely that the Scorpions will
be allowed to be let loose on Majali. He is now royal game.
His status in the ANC is reflected in the fact that he is mentioned by the
United Nations in a 2005 report as colluding with the government of the late
Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, on oil deals when this was illegal.
He employed the names of Thabo Mbeki and then ANC secretary general, Kgalema
Motlanthe, in negotiations with the then Iraqi deputy prime minister, Tariq
Aziz, later executed and good buddy of our deputy foreign minister, Aziz
Pahad.
At the time of the UN report, foreign affairs spokesperson Ronnie Mamoepa
said government would give a "comprehensive response" once it had studied
the report. As far as I can gather, we are still waiting.
Then there is the shadowy Chancellor House, an ANC front company that is the
beneficiary, it is difficult to believe, of a R20bn Eskom contract. That
deal, too, would be something into which the Scorpions could sink their
claws.
We will never know what the cadres have looted. But with the Scorpions we
stood at least a slim chance of curbing them.
Those with fingers in cookie jar fear efficient investigative unit

The history of the Scorpions is worth remembering. In the UDM manifesto for
the 1999 election we suggested that the country needed an elite unit to
investigate organised crime and corruption. We were therefore delighted when
the ANC announced shortly thereafter the establishment of the Scorpions. It
was a good idea.

The United Democratic Movement National Executive Committee met this past
weekend to deliberate on the state of the nation and monitor progress with
the implementation of our strategy towards the 2009 national and provincial
elections. The future of the Scorpions was discussed at length, and we
resolved that we will do everything within our power to prevent this
crime-fighting and corruption-busting unit from being disbanded by the ANC.
We have agreed that we will strenuously oppose in Parliament any attempt to
disband the Scorpions, or to "absorb them into the SAPS" (just a polite way
of saying they will be dissolved).
We have also asked for legal opinion regarding the possible judicial
remedies we can pursue should we deem parliamentary processes insufficient
to prevent the ANC's despicable scheme. The UDM NEC resolved that we will
not hesitate to seek redress through the courts if it is necessary, just as
we did with the floor-crossing, when we took the matter to the highest court
in the land and exposed the ANC's expediency.
We warned then of the dire consequences and were subsequently proven right,
as even the ANC now acknowledges the folly of floor-crossing. Similarly, we
will not shy away from our duty as democrats and representatives of the
voters to prevent the ANC's abuse of power.
Initial reservations from some quarters about the ambit and accountability
of the Scorpions were strongly defended by the ANC government, which assured
the nation that such a unit was absolutely necessary.
Indeed, as the Scorpions began to work on major problem areas such as
organised crime, taxi violence and urban terrorism in the Western Cape, the
detractors of the Scorpions disappeared.
The nation watched with admiration and a growing sense of justice as a
string of crime bosses were arrested and their assets forfeited to the
state. It became clear that the concept of prosecution-led investigation was
a massive success. In the years since then the prosecution track record of
the Scorpions has put the SAPS to shame.
But it seems that the Scorpions' efficiency would be a problem for some.
Starting as early as 2001 the Scorpions became the target of a political
campaign from within the ANC.
Tony Yengeni was the first to accuse the Scorpions of being "too white" and
harbouring political motives, when he was first questioned. Later Yengeni
would plead guilty and his crime would be exposed to the public, but those
who supported him and shared his disdain for the Scorpions would
conveniently forget this little detail.
He became the first in a long line of ANC bigwigs to badmouth the Scorpions,
only to be exposed later for one crime or another.
It is obvious that those with their fingers in the cookie jar would fear an
efficient investigative unit that shows no fear or favour, who aren't easily
bribed and who don't "lose" dockets or fail to prosecute.
The NPA director - and ultimate head of the Scorpions - was a trusted and
respected member of the ANC. But Bulelani Ngcuka soon found himself the
target of poisonous public and private speculation from ANC members who were
stung by the Scorpions or who knew that they had things to hide. Thus
eventually Mo Shaik, brother to Schabir, and Mac Maharaj, former Minister of
Transport, conspired to have Ngcuka "exposed" as "a traitor to the ANC who
was an informant of the apartheid regime".
This tale was sold to Ranjeni Munusamy, then a journalist with the Sunday
Times. When her editor refused to publish such a blatantly dubious story,
she took it to another newspaper. The country wasted R13million to pay for
the Hefer Commission, which soon exposed the unsubstantiated and
unreasonable allegations.
Later Shaik's brother, Schabir, would be successfully prosecuted for a
string of offences.
Maharaj, it was later shown, was the recipient of expensive gifts as
Minister. Munusamy resurfaced as Jacob Zuma's spin-doctor.
Brett Kebble, who bankrolled the ANC Youth League and others within the ANC,
made similar claims about the Scorpions. Later he would be exposed for
massive fraud and the Scorpions' suspicions about him were vindicated. On 6
December 2002, Kebble and his father Roger Kebble, and Brett's financial
director, Hennie Buitendag, were charged by the NPA/Scorpions with fraud,
conspiracy and incitement relating to the manipulation of Randfontein and
Harmony stock prices in 1999-2000. After Brett's death in September 2005,
Roger and Buitendag admitted guilt in the case in return for plea bargains
that included fines but no jail time.
Many of the critics of the Scorpions have been prosecuted, face prosecution
or are aligned to such people.
To the UDM it is a blatant conflict of interest that an ANC leadership
riddled with people who have been prosecuted or face prosecution by the
Scorpions, should now rule on the future of that unit.
There is an obvious conflict of interest. For them to proceed with this
course of action would be the grossest abuse of power.
Not a single reason being advanced for the Scorpions to be moved to the SAPS
holds any water; rather they are flimsy excuses to disguise a frighteningly
undemocratic scheme.
