nasionale gemiddeld met 6% af van verlede jaar.
Die enigste provinsie wat beter gedoen het as verlede jaar, is die
Oostelike Provinsie, wat nog steeds, ten spyte daarvan, die laagste
gemiddelde slaagsyfer het.
Ons kinders word dommer by die jaar.

toedoen van 'n swak onderwysstelsel soos deur die ANC afgedwing word die
afgelope tien jaar.

(O ja Leendert - is die enigste kredietwaardige uiitsprake wat gelwer kan

Every single matriculant at Mogalatjane-Mphahlele school in Limpopo has
failed this year's matric exam - even though the school had enough teachers,
resources and classrooms. Limpopo - Mogalatjane-Mphahlele Secondary School,
situated in the rural Ga-Mphahlele Dithabaneng village near Lebowakgomo, the
province's legislature seat - has all the classrooms it needs and each
teacher has to stand in front of only 28 pupils.
Yet, all its 16 matriculants failed this year.
Limpopo's education spokesperson Ndo Mangala said on Thursday that he was
not sure what could have led to the 0% pass rate.
"I have personally visited the school. Its physical structure is good and
there is electricity and water. Above all, they are fully staffed," Mangala
said.
"The [pupils] have even told me that they are not short of learner support
materials such as textbooks," he added.
The department's accepted teacher and pupil ratio is 1:35.
Mogalatjane-Mphahlele's seven teachers only have to deal with 28 pupils
each, which is a manageable number to produce good results.
"Well, this was their first matric class but it can't be an excuse. They had
almost everything that a school needs to produce results," Mangala said.
Mangala said that the department would visit the school at the beginning of
the academic year in 2006 to get to the bottom of the matter.
Education MEC Dr Aaron Motsoaledi described Mogalatjane-Mphahlele Secondary
as a "very very special school" when he announced the province's matric
results at Bolivia Lodge, Polokwane, on Thursday.
"They have the second lowest number of candidates who wrote their grade 12
examination in the whole province. This was their first ever matric and they
all [failed]," Motsoaledi said. The school principal could not be reached
for comment.
Mangala said that the department's policy barred principals from speaking to
the media. Limpopo's overall matric pass rate drop from 70,6% in 2004 to
64,3% this year.

LvO: Prof Jonathan Jansen, Dekaan Opvoedunde by UP, stem met jou saam
en sê dit ook uitdruklik. Dit is veral betekenisvol, in die konteks
daarvan dat Jansen 'n swartman is, met 'n voorbeeldige strugglerekord.
Interessant genoeg, word hy deur onderwysdepartemente as "rassis"
uitgekryt wanneer hy sê wat jy hierbo sê.
