Jammer vir die Engels...
There is a South African family here in Prince Rupert, BC, Canada that
needs help from fellow South Africans. Johan and Maggie Vivier have 2
children: Heloise (11yrs) and Domonic (13yrs). Johan and the children
suffer from porphyria, a rare genetic metabolic disorder. They have
arrived in Prince Rupert on holiday visas, to see whether the weather
here would help their condition. So far, the weather is helping them and
they are able to live a more normal life. They have now applied for
immigrant status in Canada.
They only brought their suitcases with them. There's a couple of boxes
left in South Africa. Johann and Maggie cannot work until they get a
work permit or their landed immigrant visas. They are a very average SA
family, without much financial resources. This is a call for help. If
you can help out with a donation towards their rent, a box of groceries
or any unwanted furniture/household goods, please contact me for further
details.
This appeal is a genuine one and their story has been receiving coverage
in the Canadian media this past week. I visited the family myself.
Thanks for your time.
