Your welcome. I don't know whether I should have done the translation or
not ... I'm being accused of all kinds of things. Obviously that is one
very unhappy person, and I hope the right thing will be done and he/she be
allowed to go to another family.

Julie -- this letter is six months old; it was found in a trash can. So don't
worry about it too much!

I will try not to worry too much. The newsgroup is tearing me into pieces
for having done the translation - I probably won't be able to go back. I
regret having acted in such haste that I did not pay proper attention to the
contents thereof.

I am so sorry about that, Julie. I posted a response to the group explaining
that the letter was old and found in a trash can and that I fictionalized the
name of the writer by substituting my own ... all of which is true. I don't
even know the writer. I am writing a fiction story for a creative writing
class and I thought some of it might work for the lead character in my story.
Our professor brought in a whole stack of letters for us to work with. I must
say that I am surprised no one took the time to actually ASK me what the
circumstances were. I never even thought about it being misinterpreted because
I knew how I'd come across it! But in retrospect, I can certainly see how
people might judge it that way! Too bad no one bothered to ask first -- guilty
until judged innocent, I suppose. I too have gotten a couple of VICIOUS emails
with four-letter words, accusations, and all the trimmings. Sorry for all the
grief this has caused you. It was not my intent.
Regards,
Robyn
PS. The real author's name was Justeen"

Wie weet, miskien wanneer ek beter voel en my hart nie meer so seer is nie, kom ek terug.

By coincidence the lady refered to in the letter is also named Robyn! So, if
you are reading this, did you substitute your name in that part as well,
Robyn?
I suggest you stick to fiction, and never try your hand at detective stories.
Oh, and forget the creative part!

And if you are reading this Robyn whoever, you told Julie nobody asked
you the circumstances, don't talk crap.
In the English SA group I asked you to give details around the request
before i react and you NEVER answered.
Just to refresh you memory, here is my posting:

It seems more and more that you are NOT playing with a full deck.

The plot thickens. Waar kry die professor
die brief vandaan? Is dit sy vrou wat die
arme meisie geterroriseer het? Of het die
professor sommer 'n swart sak vol weggooi-
sulke gebroke Afrikaans kon skryf.
