Cape Town - Police have arrested a 13-year-old boy after he allegedly
raped a 99-year-old woman in De Doorns near Worcester in the Boland at
the weekend. Boland police spokesman Captain Francois Rossouw said the
woman was on her way to a shop in the town when she was approached by
the boy near the cemetery.
Rossouw said the youth enticed the elderly woman into the cemetery where
he threw her to the ground and allegedly raped her at knifepoint. The
woman was treated at a hospital and discharged.
The youth has been placed in the custody of his parents
