Komm.
verantwoordelik is.
beseer is.
Daar was glo 'n bottel drank in die BMW.
Dié klag spruit uit 'n voorval in Julie 2006 toe hy by 'n
padversperring op die N2-hoofweg by Durban voorgekeer is.

The memories of two young women, whose lives were full of fun and
promise, will never go away, nor will the tears.
But if justice can be done, it will bring some measure of closure to
this "horrific nightmare", say the families of the women killed in a
hit-and-run accident at the intersection of Masabalala Yengwa Avenue
(NMR) and Somtseu Road in March this year.
After three months, police finally made a long-awaited breakthrough,
arresting prominent Durban socialite and restaurateur Prince Sifiso
Zulu on Monday morning.
Zulu appeared in the Durban magistrate's court on Monday and was
charged with two counts of culpable homicide.
Four other charges include "failing to perform the duties of a driver
after an accident" and for failing to stop and ascertain the nature of
injuries and render assistance.
He was also charged with reckless and negligent driving and a final
provisional charge relates to allegations that the car had a false
registration number.
Zulu's woes are set to continue with his alleged involvement in the
fatal accident to be probed at municipal level, with the ANC now set
to answer questions over why the city's CCTV camera system did not
record the late-night smash.
The news of Zulu's arrest has brought more pain and anger to the
families of the deceased and survivors of the accident.
Mangosuthu University of Technology students Sdumsile Mncube and
Hlengiwe Dlamini died in the accident and 10 other passengers were
injured.
They were all congregants of the Soul's Harbour Ministries Church and
had been coming from a church function.
Sdumsile's mother Nonhlanhla Mncube said on Monday that she was both
angry and disappointed that Zulu had been granted bail.
"Even though he has finally been arrested for the hit-and-run case for
which we have been praying for more than two months, we are not happy
at all. For a long time we have had suspicions. Even though the
authorities were coming up with different theories," she said.
She said it was extremely painful for her and the rest of the family.
Pain
"It hurts to know that you can kill two people and get off easily, as
much as we agree that the law must take its course, they (police and
courts) also need to understand our pain."
Computer Mncube, the father of one of the survivors and uncle to
Sdumsile also expressed his sadness at the latest turn of events.
"Our families have not been treated the way we should have since this
accident," he said.
Mncube added that until such a time as the person responsible for the
accident admits to his crimes and faces the families to apologise,
they will never find peace.
The head of Soul's Harbour Ministries Church Pastor Phumlani Ndlovu
who has been very much involved in the case, said he was happy that
the police had finally made an arrest.
"We are relieved the police have managed to make an arrest," said
Ndlovu.
Earlier on Monday after his arrest, Zulu walked into the court
building accompanied by the investigating officers and his legal
representatives.
Wearing a green shirt and light brown pants, a seemingly calm Zulu
stood in the dock as state prosecutor Mark Dyson read out his charge.
Dyson asked magistrate Sam Luthuli for a postponement for further
investigation.
Before adjourning, Luthuli granted Zulu bail of R5 000 and gave
instruction that he is not to interfere with any of the state
witnesses. The case was postponed to July 18.
On Friday, the issue of the CCTV footage will be raised in what is
expected to be a heated full council meeting - this after a Democratic
Alliance notice of motion was eventually allowed onto the council
agendas.
The DA want an investigation launched into why the cameras were not
focused at the intersection.
Metro Police has maintained that the camera was pointing in another
direction at the time of the accident, and only panned to the scene
later.
