Six bogus traditional surgeons nabbed in E Cape

Six bogus traditional surgeons have been arrested at Ntsimbini village
in Port St. Johns in the Eastern Cape.
Health spokesperson Sizwe Kupelo says the suspects were in the process
of performing illegal circumcisions on other boys in the area. He says
some of the suspects are themselves under age. Police and circumcision
inspectors are investigating the incident.
Meanwhile, a traditional surgeon and nurse are expected to appear in
court today following the death of an initiate in Gxulu village in
Libode on Saturday.
