The question is irrelevant, because the allegation isn't true. Asylum
seekers are granted entry provided they pay the necessary bribes to the
immigration staff.
I don't see why everyone makes such a fuss about this. In South Africa, if
you want to get a government contract, you have to cut the right people in
on the deal. If you want to start a new business, or continue to run and
existing one, you have to cut the right people in on your shareholding, and
create positions for the right people on your staff. If you want to send a
team to the Olympic Games, or some other sporting event, you have to ensure
that the right people are on the team.
All of this is considered to be part of Nelson Mandela's socio-economic
miracle, and reflects the triumph of justice over the evil of injustice. So
why should a couple of bribes to people lower down the hierarchy attract
such attention?

OTOH, it sure is a nice timewarp performance, from African Renaissance to
African Medieval Times within just a few governments (they ought to change
that too, like in Zimbabwe or Namibia....the fat chief should stay in his
seat until he dies).
Btw, why are those resistance-fighters on Haiti such lousy shooters?
They could have made more than Haiti a better place to live in.
Should have send them for military training to North-Korea, just like
Mugabe once did....that will create the apropriate spirit & skills.
