Our train to steam away from Capital Park at 6.30 pm. Party will start on
the train and continue with a disco at The Mask at Cullinan Square. Music
for all tastes, karaoke, strobe lights and smoke, will create a festive
atmosphere within which to dance the old year out and the new year in!
All night carvery by international chef Alberto Gacia. Cash Bar. Coffee at 4
am before train returns to Pretoria at 5 am.

Het julle nog stoomtreine in die Kaap (ek hoor daar is een by Spier)?
George/Knysna het ook altyd een gehad (of het nog steeds)?
Dan was daar sprake van Alice en Port Alfred in OosKaap?

Ek het as stoker op S-klasse, koffiepotte ens. gewerk.
Luister jy Woensdagoggende op RSG so +/- 04:00? Groot stories.

Ek sou so dink - 'n stoommasjien is goter as enige vis.
Hulle soek nog baie "volunteers" by FOTR as jy belangstel.
Daar is ook groot werk aan die gang by Krugersdorp (SARM) wat binnekort
skuif vanaf Harmony se myngrond na 'n permanente perseel. Hulle (SARM) het
altyd gestoom na Magaliesburg (deesdae diesel - shame).

Peperduur... Ek het ook 'n tyd gelede die gier gehad, want as kind kon my
ouers dit nooit bekostig om vir my te koop nie. Meer as R7 000 later sit ek
nou met 'n skaflike baantjie (ongeveer 40 meter spoor) en één treintjie. Ek
het nog nie eers geld gehad om die wisseltjies te elektrifiseer nie.
Kry mens Märklin is SA te koop?
