Jammer vir die elgels maar ek het flu - but wanted to give you a
chance to try this before all slots get taken up.
This was on a Sceptical conference in a rpivate Cix conference.
Pate:
Are you on broadband?
Check this out
http://free.consergent.com
It's a company looking for people with broadband in various countries.
The
idea is that they install a box of GSM test equipment in your location
and
hook it up to your broadband, and then pay some or all of your
broadband
costs for the duration of a test. If you don't have broadband and
you're
the only person in a location they want, they'll pay to have it
installed
for you. They won't use much bandwidth, but do want 24 hour access.
They claim to be developing some GSM quality of service software, and
as
far as I can tell this is correct. I've checked it out to some extent,
and there is a company behind the website who does develop wireless
QoS.
Also, I can't see any way for it to be fraudulent.
I don't know how many of these things they'll be deploying. I do know
that
they're keen on getting people in as many countries as possible, so if
you're on the Continent or further afield, you could well be in with a
chance.
If you do apply, mention my name! There may be a kickback.
If there's enough interest, I'll set up a conf.
