You seem to be talking about accepting everything without trying to point
out the bad. Just because people moan doesn't mean they don't love the
place. In fact it points to exactly the opposite. Who are you to say to a
born South African that if he does not like what is going on that he is not
welcome here? I think you are a bit arrogant to make statements like that.
The country is wonderful. It is a beautiful place full of wonder and
especially natural beauty that belongs not only to one group of people but
to be honest to the whole world. I have never met one soul who hasn't fallen
in love with this place, all of it! If you love it, it is especially
important to speak up about what you don't see as right. It is vitally
important. Otherwise we will get another Zimbabwe if we don't.
It is also wrong to tell people who had played a role in the Apartheid
system to shut up merely because they had their day and it is a new one.
Firstly people can change, secondly there were varying degrees of complicity
in Apartheid and thirdly you and Ferdi Greyling must be talking about the
present when referring to your love of South Africa, because it is
impossible to say that you will love it in the future purely because the
future is unknown. The only way to ensure that you will like it in the
future is by making your voice heard when something goes apparently wrong.
It is however good to know that you love the country as much as most of us
"Dutchmen".

Hey now I agree with you.What I dont agree with is the racism and this Swar
Gevaar.It makes us black people look like savages.The reason so many of us
are poorly educated was because of apartheid and that is what people must
understand.I dislike Mugabe just as much as any white man,because he is
destroying his country just to hold on to power and using the land thing as
a smokescreen.I also get frustrated with our government for much of the same
reasons you do.
To the group, I apologise for the derogatory terms I have used,but when I
