Vir die naelloper Wendy Seegers was gister se spanaankondiging 'n
reuse-verleentheid nadat sy nie in die Olimpiese span ingesluit is nie.
Noksa het haar glo na die geleentheid genooi.
Seegers, wat ten spyte van 'n ligte dyspierbesering aan die Afrika-byeen
koms in Brazzaville deelgeneem het om steeds 'n kans te hê om na die
Spele te gaan, is vanjaar die vinnigste Suid-Afrikaanse vrou oor 100 m.
Haar beste tyd van 11.30 s is 0.09 s vinniger as Geraldine Pillay s'n,
wat die span gehaal het.

Jy kan nie, maar soos hulle maar sê van regstellende aksie... "die
eerste ding wat by die venster uit vlieg is meriete"...
Nou vra ek net, wie gaan nou besluit wanneer alle mense maar net mense
is? Regstellende aksie het ten doel om ongelykhede van verlede reg te
stel. Maar nou is daar maar weer diskriminasie teen mense wat nie eens
stemreg gehad het in Apartheid nie. Hier praat ek bepaald van jong
blankes. Hulle word nou seergemaak pure op grond van die kans van
geboorte... Dit kan mos nie reg wees nie.

In Afrikaans is die regte spelling 'kaffer'. 'Kafir' is die oorspronklike
woord wat 'ongelowige' beteken. Jou 'kafer'sal in Afrikaans lank
uitgespreek word......kaafer. Afrikaans se 'ir' klank op die einde van
woorde word met 'n 'er' geskryf maar 'ir' uitgespreek.
