ondersoek moes doen?
"Financial misconduct by state officials is hitting the government hard:
R4,176,757-20 is thought to have been lost to fraud and theft last year. So
says a report by the Public Service Commission.
The PSC's report on financial misconduct said affected departments hoped to
recover the money by deducing the lost amount from the pension benefits paid
to corrupt officials.
The government expects to recover R177834,07. However the cost to the state
from misconduct at the department of labour alone amounts to R1355100,13."
