Dankie TJ - Ons was juis die begin van die jaar by die sirkus - by Canal
Walk - en die tentjie was baie klein in vergelyking met die groot tente van
my kinderjare. Hulle het selfs 'n bietjie kabaret ingebring in die
vertoning - maar die tekens was daar - die orkes was een persoon wat die
tromme geslaan het vir die spannende oomblikke - verder was alle musiek
geblik.
Vandag se kinders en opvolgende geslagte sal nie eers weet waarvan ons praat
as ons praat van die wonderlike sirkusdae nie.
Inderdaad 'n tradisie wat verdwyn.

In Kanada het ons Cirque de Soleil, 'n sirkus wat geheel
en al bestaan uit akrobate. Hulle het in Quebec begin,
maar is nou beroemd oor die hele wêreld en 'n groep van
hulle tree permanent op by Las Vegas. Het hulle al in
SA getoer?
