... van hierdie nuusgroep? Kan 'n mens dit uitvind? Of is daar 'n
sotlikheid hom of haar hier aansluit.
Ja, ek is elitisties.
Miskien was

My verwysing was

Is helaas
in het Engels:
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
---------------------
WHAT IS MODERATION, AND HOW DOES IT AFFECT ME?
----------------------------------------------
News.newusers.questions (NNQ) is MODERATED, which means that all
messages posted to the group pass through a review process *before*
they are posted. Moderation is done mostly by *software,* though
some messages are forwarded to human moderators for review or return.
These moderators form a Moderation Board which is set up to help
answer questions, filter posts, and assist new users. Essentially,
they act like the editors of a newspaper or journal.
The CHARTER, which defines what is on-topic for this group, and the
Moderation Board's powers, is posted to this newsgroup once per week.
Look for the title "!ADMIN: Charter for this Newsgroup."
The current list of types and forms of messages to be returned are
listed in a ADMINISTRATIVE STATEMENT. That statement is posted
least once a week, so that readers always know what posts are returned.
Look for the title "!ADMIN: Moderation Policy for this Newsgroup."
Copies of both the Charter and the Administrative Statement can be found
at the news.newusers.questions Administrative Site,
http://web.presby.edu/~nnqadmin/
Posters to (and readers of) moderated groups like NNQ should know that
it takes longer for posts and articles to appear on a local news server,
compared to posts in unmoderated groups which show up almost immedately.
This happens because articles are sent to the server where the moderation
software runs, are posted from that server, and then travel back to local
servers before they show up in the newsgroup.
Posters should also expect that some articles will be returned if they
appear to be off-topic (they'll be emailed back to the original poster
with helpful hints), and that they may edit these returned articles
and resubmit them if they are truly on-topic for the newsgroup.
RETURNED MESSAGES AND APPEALS
-----------------------------
The moderation software will attempt to return any inappropriate message
to the sender via email. The email will include the reason for the return
and the original message. The software cannot return messages to invalid
email addresses, so if you are not sure that your message is on-topic and
appropriate, make sure you are posting with a valid email address or a
valid
Reply-To address. Otherwise, the moderation software will not be able
to return the message for editing if the message is inappropriate for NNQ.
Posters *will* be able to edit and resubmit messages to the newsgroup
if they are on-topic for the newsgroup. If the edited message is still
returned by the software, the message can be sent to an appeals address
for review by a human moderator. The moderators will attempt to post
every possible on-topic message, to the best of their ability.
MODERATION STATUS
-----------------
The group became "officially" moderated on June 2, 1997. There was a
Usenet-wide vote regarding whether this newsgroup should be moderated to
ensure that questions from new users would be allowed through, but
off-topic posts like advertisements would be returned through email.
That vote to moderate PASSED by a margin of 357:25. The result post can
be found at any of the following places:
http://www.oocities.org/ResearchTriangle/8211/result.txt
ftp://ftp.uu.net/usenet/news.announce.newgroups/news/news.ne wusers.questions
(at the very bottom of the file)
If you are reading this newsgroup from an "unmoderated" server, you will
probably see some messages without the "footer" text added to them. In
this case, you would read more messages here than you otherwise would,
*but* if you try to post something, it may *disappear* when it reaches a
"moderated" server. If you see posts which don't appear to be moderated,
please contact the moderators of NNQ and/or your site admin so that your
group can be converted to moderated status. For more details, please see
the posting "!ADMIN: Possible Problems with Posting."
Thanks!
