Help,
I'm in search of an Afrikaans word frequency database: something similar to
a Frances Kucera frequency lists that are available in English. For example,
the word 'die' in Afrikaans is used far more frequently than "bont" of
"blou", as such the word "die" (the) would have a higher frequency in daily
Afrikaans usage. Secondly if you know of any word association lists, eg, if
I say "A" most would respond by saying "B". These two words are highly
associated. The word "Blou" is highly associate with the word "Bulle", if
you live in Traansvaal. If you know of the whereabouts of such a database
somewhere please let me know.
