Nelson is correct when he says that any diesel engine can run on pure
vegetable oil, but that is not recommended by those who manufacture
and distribute biodiesel. While it is made primarily of vegetable oil,
it has to be processed so that the glycerin is removed. Then, it is
very often combined with a small percentage of regular diesel fuel,
which makes for smoother combustion and performance.
The refining and mixing OFTEN makeS biodiesel more costly than regular
diesel--as much as 20 cents more a gallon. But experts warn against
trying to save money by grabbing a bottle of Wesson out of your
kitchen cupboard and dumping it into your gas tank.
"If you use homemade biodiesel, or worse, straight vegetable oil, you
pretty much guarantee yourself engine damage," Higgins said. "It plugs
up your injectors and can prevent the engine from working altogether."

Dankie vir die inligting. Bly om te sien jy't uit jou winterskuiling te
voorskyn gekom. Hier het die winter nou met mening toegeslaan, maar in
Oos-Londen is "met mening" steeds mild en matig.

------Jy kan ook die filter los koop, maar vra vir die agent se voorman om
vir jou die sequence af te skryf van wat jy moet doen om die liggie op die
dashboard te laat ophou flikker. Glo my, dis nie so einfach nie.
