principles, the
rest will follow.

Unfortunately, fascism (which is rational) is far preferable to
religious fundamentalism (which is irrational) so we will get the
former by popular demand (and canny politicians) in order to eliminate
the latter.
If the leftoids really want to avoid fascism, they need to start
thinking of ways to eliminate non-mainstream kooky extremist religion
in politics, NOW.

They don't have the ability of self doubt. Being Left is certainty
about a
belief...which is what a religion is.
Fascism occurred out of desperation for order which is what responsible
grown-ups demand. They may have a loathing for loss of liberty too,
but order
is preferred to anarchy...and precisely why we are heading for it.

The best definition of "fascism" nowadays is plutocracy + (religious
nationalism or nationalist religion); "Gold, God and Country"; as in
the
US, as most comically evidenced by the fascist chants and hymns to the
State so highly prized there (which is here, which is to say I'm an
Amurrican).
I take it you distinguish religion, even a nationalist religion or
religious nationalism, from religious fundamentalism?

Where would you rather live - the USA or Afghanistan?
I'm not saaying I like fascism, just that we are being pushed towards
it by our failure to elilminate religious fundamentalism.

Another trap for the unwary.
Non-mainstream kooky extremist religion in politics includes the loony
left. Whilst the loony left is 'anti-religion' they practise all the
irrationality of the KERs in politics and back it up with threats of
violence.
Lets be fair. Eliminate all fanatics incl. the loony left NOW!
