Greetings all,
I am wondering if anyone could point me toward materials from which I
could learn some Afrikaans (esp. if it includes recordings, such as
CDs or cassette tapes). I have searched the WWW and found very little
more than short on-line phrasebooks. I have studied a great deal of
German (though not recently) so materials for German-speakers who
wish to learn Afrikaans (if such exists) would also likely be useful.
A reply to my email address (below) would be tremendously appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
S. Ratcliff

I'd suggest "Teach Yourself Afrikaans" by the NTC Publishing Group. I'd
imagine it's about $8, and they might have tapes to go with it (as they
do for many of their other language books). I have the book, but no tapes.
