I am touched by the personal letter addressed to me... and I
do hear what you are saying. However, this newsgroup is a
South African one, which specifically concerns Afrikaans.
Since Afrikaner culture and language was rammed down my throat
for so many years, and since I was forced to leave SA to
avoid conscription into the Afrikaner regime's military
force, I believe I do have a right to voice my opinion.
When I return to SA (hopefully soon), I look forward to
a new country and less Afrikaans!
My opinion has been stated now, thank you for listening.
You could (of course) have killfiled me and ignored me,
but most of you did indeed listen. Heh.

Some Afrikaans speakers actually went to jail when you ran.
Some Afrikaans speakers were abused and assaulted by English speaking
racists when you were overseas.
Your little explenation, probably aimed at getting some sypathy for
yourself, actually only served to underline the existing opinion of
you.
