I live in Canada but am an active member
of the Afrikaans newsgroup. People from
all over the world take part on this
newsgroup IN AFRIKAANS, The continuation
of Afrikaans in the 21 st century depends
to a small degree on such cybersites where
Afrikaans is used.
You are now flooding our newsgroup with
articles written in English. I assume
you do not know the damage you are causing.
With so much of the content of the newsgroup
in English, people are losing interest. So
in fact you are losing an audience too.
Could you please, from now on, just leave
the name soc.culture.south-africa.afrikaans
out of your headings (as a gesture of
respect for Afrikaans, en as a mode of
helping the continuation of Afrikaans as
a viable language in the 21st century.)
I would like the people that respond to
you to do the same. When you reply, please
just remove the name of our newsgroup from
the top list of newsgroups, before you
send it off.
