Aan alle Suid-Afrikaners oorsee (Gloudina, Galjoen en almal wat die groep
lees)
Help asb. My dogter slaag verlede jaar matriek met 4 onderskeidings. Sy
skryf in by die UOVS en studeer tans die graad B.Sc. Geologie met die oog
om 'n honeursgraad in Hidrogeologie te bekom. Tydens die eerste semester
behaal sy twee onderskeidings. (sien CV hieronder)
Ons kan nie 'n beurs vir haar bekom nie. 49 aansoeke in die RSA en 9 in
Namibië was onsuksesvol.
Twee groot mynmaatskappye in die RSA het haar genooi vir onderhoude. In
beide gevalle was sy een van twee studente uit die Vrystaat genooi. Haar
gemiddelde matriekuitslag was 79%. Sy ding nou mee teen agtergeblewenes
wat ook 'n kans in die lewe moet kry. Omdat die maatskappye 20% by die
uitslag van agtergeblewenes tel, kry so 'n student met 'n gemiddeld van
60% nou 80% en my dogter val uit.
Voorsien my asseblief van adresse van internasionale mynmaatskapye,
raadgewende ingenieurs, waterrade ens by wie ons moontlik kan aanklop om
finansiële hulp.

My dogter is bereid om oorsee te studeer indien daar so 'n moontlikheid
bestaan. Sy het dan ook aan beide mynhuise wat met haar onderhoude gevoer
het, aangedui dat sy bereid in om enige plek in die wêreld diens te doen.
